Basketball Mama: The Madness Remains

They said they had no stars, there was talk of national title drought and ACC dominance.  But here we are, March is over and the madness remains. There are two Big Ten teams left in the big dance, people!  Who would have believed it?

I am the self proclaimed, Big Ten number one fan, a.k.a basketball mama.  I live Big Ten from the sidelines of an unnamed team.  I love ‘em all, the coaches, the fans, the cheers and, yes, the stars.  I take it all in and know it is good.  Good ‘ol college basketball.

So let’s just see...Michigan State is the lowest- seeded team still in the tournament.  Will Tom Izzo’s charmed March Madness mystique prevail?  Will the team that’s least expected to make it to the NCAA tournament topple Coach K’s Blue Devils?  Will the Spartan’s senior, Travis Trice lead the Spartans in points on the scoreboard despite health related issues?  Will Branden Dawson step up again and muscle in the rebounds?  Can they keep up the fight, stay strong and keep believing?  Go Green, Go White...I believe in you.

Will Bo Ryan and Wisconsin Badgers defeat the undefeated Kentucky for the second consecutive season in the final four?  They lost by only one point in the 2014 final four against Kentucky. Is it their turn to go to the finals this year?

Senior, Frank Kaminsky, is averaging 18.7 points per game, leading the badgers to its uncontested Big Ten championship title.  Junior, Sam Dekker, is coming into his full potential with the 27 point finish and is seemingly up to the rematch.  Go Big Red...I believe in you too!

These are the questions I ask myself. Join the discussion and let me know what you think! Can the Big Ten do it?  It is possible!!  I believe.  So, go Green, go Big Red!!  One of you is my alma mater, but I’ll never tell (at least not today).  Go Big Ten and bring home that national title.
